These terms apply to individual sessions, group classes and workshops with Malcolm Manning, Feldenkrais practitioner, Neustiftgasse 54/30, 1070 Vienna, and to the use of this website. By booking a session or class you agree to them.
Individual sessions can be booked online or by contacting me directly. A booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation by email.
Where a group class or workshop is booked through a partner venue, that venue’s own booking terms apply as well.
Sessions for children and young people under 18 are booked by a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on their behalf.
If you need to cancel or move an individual session, please let me know at least 24 hours before the booked start time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the session, and sessions that are missed without notice, are charged in full.
If you arrive late, the session still ends at the booked time and the full fee applies.
You can cancel using the link in your booking confirmation email or by contacting me. If I have to cancel a session, I will let you know as early as possible and offer you a new appointment at no extra cost.
Dates, times and venues of classes and workshops may occasionally change. If a class or workshop has to be cancelled – for example because of illness or too few participants – you will be informed as early as possible and any fee you have already paid for it will be refunded in full, or in proportion if only part of it is cancelled.
The fee for a session is the one shown when you book. As a small business (Kleinunternehmer) under § 6 (1) 27 of the Austrian VAT Act (UStG), I do not charge VAT. Payment is by invoice only; I do not accept cash. Invoices are sent at the end of each month for the sessions of that month and are payable as stated on the invoice.
The Feldenkrais Method® is an educational approach: we learn through gentle movement and attention. It is not a medical or therapeutic treatment. As a Feldenkrais practitioner I do not diagnose illness, prescribe treatment or replace the care of a doctor, physiotherapist or other health professional.
If you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, have had recent surgery or are unsure whether gentle movement is suitable for you, please consult your doctor before you begin, and let me know before your first session or class. Please continue any treatment your doctor has prescribed.
During lessons, move only within what is comfortable for you, never into pain, and rest whenever you need to. You are responsible for paying attention to your own comfort and for stopping or adapting a movement when something does not feel right. Everyone responds differently, so no particular result can be guaranteed.
I take care to work safely and attentively. To the extent permitted by law, I am not liable for injury, loss or damage arising from participation, except where caused intentionally or through gross negligence. Nothing in these terms limits liability for injury to life, body or health caused by my fault, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
I am not liable for the loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to sessions or classes, except where caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
The content of this website is for general information only and is not medical advice. Texts and images are protected by copyright and may not be reused without permission. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; I am not responsible for their content.
How I handle personal data from bookings, enquiries and the mailing list is described in the Privacy Policy.
I may update these terms from time to time; the version published here at the time of your booking applies. These terms are governed by Austrian law. If you are a consumer, they apply only insofar as they do not conflict with mandatory provisions of the Austrian Consumer Protection Act (KSchG), and you may bring or face legal proceedings at the courts of your place of residence or employment in Austria.
Questions about these terms are welcome – please contact me.
