“Movement is life and life is a process. Improve the quality of the process and you improve the quality of life itself”

What is the Feldenkrais Method?

How we encounter the world physically is the foundation of our being. The Feldenkrais Method is a sensory movement practice which engages with this foundation to enhance every aspect of our lives.

Move Better

Develop strength and flexibility with ease

Sense More

The world will shows up for us more vibrantly

Think Clearer

Less noise in our system supports clearer thinking

Feel Better

Being better oriented makes us feel more secure

“What I’m after isn’t flexible bodies, but flexible brains. What I’m after is to restore each person to their human dignity”

MOSHE FELDENKRAIS

How does the Feldenkrais Method work?

“I believe that the unity of mind and body is an objective reality. A brain without a body could not think.”

How can I learn the Feldenkrais Method?

Individual Sessions

In individual Feldenkrais Functional Integration® (FI) sessions, I’ll move you gently and slowly so your nervous system can sense new connections and ways of organising yourself to move.

Group Classes

Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement ®(ATM) classes are like movement puzzles, which I guide verbally, leaving you free to play while immersed in your own sensations.

“Making the impossible possible, the possible easy, the easy elegant”

Who was Moshe Feldenkrais?

Moshe Feldenkrais (1904–1984) was a physicist, engineer and judo black belt. In 1936 he co-founded the Jiu-Jitsu Club de France in Paris, among Europe’s first judo schools.

He worked in Joliot-Curie’s nuclear physics lab, then on anti-submarine sonar research for the British Admiralty in WWII. A knee injury led him to create the method that bears his name.

“Through awareness, we can learn to move with astonishing lightness and freedom at almost any age”

Malcolm Manning Feldenkrais Practitioner

I discovered the Feldenkrais Method 35 years ago and it changed my life. I’d always loved to move, but I had a history of physical problems since birth.

When I was 14-years-old I was advised, “not to move too much and avoid lifting things”. The method opened the way for me to fulfil my dream to become a dancer.

Over the last 25 years I have taught my artistic reseach in some of the leading dance educations, centres and festivals both in Europe and worldwide.
