While I’m specialised in working with children with special needs, every child has special needs and can benefit from the method.
I think of myself as a teacher rather than a therapists. My specialist skills are in creating the conditions for your child to learn, primarily to move better by sensing themselves more clearly.
And since movement and perception underlie everything that we do, any improvements in these abilities will also support your child’s behavioural and cognitive development.
I teach by guiding your child’s attention through touch, movement and verbal cues to create new neural pathways. This is the biological basis for organic learning.
I have helped children with:
- Learning difficulties
- Behavioural difficulties
- Movement difficulties after accidents or surgery
- Anxiety problems
- Attention deficit disorder (ADHD/ADD)
- Perception difficulties
- Scoliosis
- Undiagnosed developmental delays and difficulties
- Spasticity due to accidents and premature birth
- Brain injury
- Childhood stroke
- Cerebral palsy
- Genetic disorders
- Down syndrome
- Congenital brain defects
- Brachial plexus injury
